This summer we redesigned a reception area in one of University of the Arts London ’s student accommodation buildings. We created a dynamic flexible working space for students, which can also be used as a waiting and social area.

We injected warm rich tones to make the space feel homely and inviting, using sculptural lighting arrangements by Flos to add interest. We introduced a variety of seating types, such as Yonohe Studio 'Mosaico' modular seating with some complimentary by Note Design Studio (La Isla) and Estudihac (Magnum). Also featured are bespoke recycled plastic table tops we developed with Smile Plastics.

We commissioned surface designer and UAL alumni Kangan Arora to create graphics for an exterior privacy vinyl as part of the project. The front facade graphics are inspired by a mathematical memory game; whereas the side facade is a combination of her Shapescape (2016) and Lakir (2013) designs.

Stop by if you’re ever in North Acton, it’s just outside the tube station and difficult to miss!
